Objective: 

This course will enable students to learn various techniques to study air, water & soil environment as well as industrial Biotechnology and application of these techniques for sustainable advancements.

 

CONTENTS

  1. Isolation of industrially important microorganisms
    1. Amylase producing microorganism
    2. Lipase producing microorganism
  2. Production of alcohol
  3. Citric Acid fermentation
  4. Isolation of antibiotic producing microorganism from soil
  5. Mushroom cultivation
  6. Determination of Total Dissolved Solids of water.
  7. Determination of total solids of water.
  8. Determination of dissolved Oxygen concentration of water sample.
  9. Determination Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) of sewage sample.
  10. Determination of acidity of the given water sample.
  11. Determination of Alkalinity of water sample.
  12. Measurement of Chloride content of water sample.
  13. Determination of hardness of water.
  14. Determination of CO2 content of water sample.
  15. Estimation of COD
